Warrior Programs & Resources
It takes a special kind of drive and focus to dedicate your life to protecting your country. Our passion is helping these deserving service members continue to find their PURPOSE in continuing their military careers and in focusing on their future after the military.
Therapy doesn’t have to be delivered while laying on a couch. It doesn’t have to be stuffy, awkward or uncomfortable. Peer-to-peer counseling has proven to be one of the most natural and effective tools in the effort to improve mental wealth. Side by Side is just that - it's all about the power of Peer-to-Peer! Side by Side provides various opportunities and environments that are unrelated to work, led or hosted by civilians hoping to make a difference. These activities include sporting clay shoots, 3-gun or tactical competitions, fishing, hunting, rucking, racing, or networking dinners, and they play a critical role in allowing organic, healing conversation to take place. While these don’t always happen, when they do, it’s magic. Side by Side, through peer-to-peer conversation can start the healing process, can establish connections and more importantly, can provide clarity of purpose.
We invite our Special Forces Community Service Members to sign up for these events. By sharing your details below, you will receive an email invitation for any upcoming events. These events will be sent out as dates are locked in, and the spots will be filled on a first reply, first serve basis.
THE JANUS PROGRAM
We are excited to announce our partnership with The Donovan & Bank Foundation to introduce a transition focused program, JANUS! Every year Service Members are making the transition from their military career to their civilian career. This program provides tools, feedback and resources for a smooth transition between the two!
BEYOND THE BATTLEFIELD
The SFCT presents, “Beyond the Battlefield” – a sponsored Operational Stress Management & Suicide Prevention Platform. The intent of this platform is to offer soldiers an option to anonymously explore and invest in their mental and emotional wealth.
While the government does a fine job of preparing Soldiers for war, they fall short when it comes to Family support and in preparing the Soldier for what lies beyond the battlefield. The Special Forces Charitable Trust strives to fill those shortfalls. The growing mental wellness crisis in America is no secret and since mental wellness is not discriminatory, it affects every category of society. The U.S. Army Special Forces community is no exception. Already war-torn and tired, operators are returning home to wage yet another war, the war on Operational Fatigue Syndrome. The bravado of the 20-year war may have relinquished, but its silence is exposing the deafening sounds of chaos in the hearts and minds of these Soldiers. Presenting as Post-Traumatic Stress, suicidal ideation or the burden of various causes of guilt, it is important to offer a solution for those seeking help and comfort without fear of reporting, ridicule, or unnecessary push back from the Tri-Care Health System. Our mission is to provide an option that offers a silently suffering Soldier and his family a path towards help, without the worry of how it may impact his career.
